The track is from the outfit’s upcoming third and final album Trust Fall.
Sadly, Winnipeg outfit Yes We Mystic have announced that they are set to break up on October 22nd. The creative and unique project has been roaring on for a decade now, and has spawned two albums to date, with a third set for release on the 21st, just a day before they disband.
The lead single from the record is ‘Long Dream’, a track that tirelessly builds and grows with no kind of lull or respite throughout its duration. Awash in stirring synths, engaging horns and strings, the track has this a palpable energy that feels unmovable in force throughout, like a snowball or wave that just builds momentum endlessly. The track showcases an outfit going out at their best, a climatic summation of the charm and guile of the outfit signalling the beginning of the end.
“There is no ‘step back’ or cool off in its structure, the ensemble is just one machine, introducing layer after layer all working towards a towering conclusion.” explains Yes We Mystic songwriter/vocalist/producer Adam Fuhr. ‘I see it as the song we’ve been working towards writing for years.”
