An indie rock artist who’s tender approach to her sound and style has made for a raft of immersive and instantly loveable releases that feel both warm and emotional, Brighton-based singer-songwriter, guitarist and producer Zoe Konez is somebody who creates music to stir the soul and leave a resonating impression on you, and her latest single ‘Nudge’ continues to showcase that in moving fashion.
The new release explores the process of trying to fix yourself and the exhaustion and exasperation that can come with the setbacks that you find along the way. Rather than focussing on that though, the track is a gentle look the other way, at the little things that push you in the direction you’re heading in, the little moments and signals from the world to keep pushing along and making progress, and the stripped-back and lush nature of her sound does a great job of creating a raw and quietly powerful feeling that looks to add strength to listeners going through similar situations.
