The Swedish pop artist makes a comeback!
Rising Swedish pop sensation Eleonor Léone makes a comeback with the understated sound of introspective new single ‘Karma’. It is her latest solo release since 2019’s ‘Wolf’.
Opening with understated guitar plucking and shimmering synth tones, ‘Karma’ slowly builds with deft pop melodies before kicking in with a thumping drumbeat. Whimsically atmospheric in tone, it is Léone’s euphoric vocal that makes its anthemic chorus memorable.
“What is karma? Why are we so afraid of it? Is it all made up in our heads? Maybe,” muses Léone. ‘In this case, karma represents our inner demons. The ones that keep you away from being who you really want to be. The one who judges you all the time. The one that binds you tighter, day by day.
“This song is about anxiety, sleepless nights and how thoughts can create a prison in your own mind,” Léone continues. “‘Karma’ is a hypnotic mantra, a self fulfilling prophecy on how paranoid thoughts can make you trapped in yourself. Like a lullaby, a processing of these uncomfortable thoughts makes you reach some sort of release.
“I think everyone can relate to the feeling of not always being able to be your true self. You put yourself down and judge yourself based out of fear, and fear breeds fear. And the more space you give something, the more real it becomes.”
‘Karma’ is available now.
