Indie quartet Ead Wood return with their latest adventure in ‘Environmental’
Bristol-based quartet Ead Wood are back with their latest track ‘Environmental‘ – taken from their forthcoming EP, ‘Songs in the Quay of Sea’.
Recorded in London with producer Ben Andrewes and Rob Fenner Of Margot, ‘Environmental’ was written in response to the 2019 February heatwave.
Something that the world needs even more right now, “Environmental” is a hazy indie track that deserves wide recognition.
Sharing his thoughts on the track, lead vocalist Ed states, “I read an article about the detrimental effect this unusually warm winter was having on hibernating animals such as hedgehogs, who were coming out of hibernation early due to the warm temperatures and I wrote the song straight on the back of this.
The second verse refers to the story of Jonah and The Whale, envisioning what Jonah would find inside a whale now, mainly an array of plastic crap.”
Possessing elements of funk within it’s arrangement, the jangly guitar riffs are prominent throughout the release.
Offering a brightly sonic palette for your tastebuds to taste on, ‘Environmental’ is a reminder to take care of the world around you – it makes a huge difference.
