White Novels reveal romantic number ‘California’
Formed in the midst of the pandemic initially as a solo project, White Novels is the creation of two songwriters Jack Bestow & Tam Kane.
Back with the new single ‘California’, the unforgettable release is a love story about an experience Jack went through back in 2019.

Sharing their thoughts on the release, Jack of White Novels explains, “California is the first full band single we recorded.
I feel it has set the tone for the future sound of White Novels. It’s a song about a relationship gone wrong when I was totally head over heels for this girl from California.
I found out when coming out of a gig at Glasgow’s Barrowlands that the “friend” she kept telling me about was actually her long term boyfriend.
Bit of a head fuck, but I guess I made a song out of it so result.”
Melodic indie rock with tinges of pop thrown in for good measure, this ear-worm single keeps the end of summer going in the right direction.
