The track is punctuated by a steely grit and rawness, echoing the sheer power and intensity of artists like Basement, Balance and Composure, and even more pop punk-tinged acts like as Gnarwolves. At the center of the sound is the sheer explosiveness of Jake Jones’s vocals, capable of transforming to a melodic croon to a throat-searing assault in a matter of moments. Frontman Jake explains “’Faces’ is about having to cut off people you’re close with to achieve better things in life. Its also about the fact you can move on from it and can be OK for the both of you in the long run. “
