The unsettling new release continues to establish their emphatic and cutting edge sound.

Packing a classic UK indie rock sound but with a slick, modern cutting edge, Edinburgh’s Dubinski are on to a winner with their timeless and effortlessly cool sound.

On their sinister new release ‘Soothsayer’ the outfit tell the story of someone who repeatedly visits a torturous fortune teller, one who predicts only horrific events for the clearly masochistic customer to expect in the future. The music certainly fits its narrative, with an energetic and inspired vocal performance from Eugene Gaine met with harrowing riffs and an atmosphere of intensity and drive. The perfect bridge between a classic indie rock sound and the fucked up imagination of a sleep deprived frontman.

Diving into the songwriting and production, Eugene Gaine says; “I started messing with the riff and chord progression before creating lyrics and melody, all with quite a dark feeling in mind. The chord progression reflects the story and creates quite a sinister feel. We then took it to the studio to add synth parts which lifted the track to an entirely different level.”
