The track does an incredible job of establishing the artist’s unique sound.
Taking inspiration from her Turkish-Croatian background, Greek Mythology, New England Romanticism, Si Belle‘s sound was always going to have an air of the unique and creative about it, and her debut single ‘Andromeda Sinned’ does a wonderful job of establishing just how special this project could be.
The track has a really distinctively modern, baroque pop flavour to it, melding her influences with the moody, sultry work of artist’s like Lana Del Rey and MARINA to create something that feels entirely exciting and new. This marriage of styles works so seamlessly that it feels crazy to think that it hasn’t been done more widely before, but Si Belle’s unique charisma and charm, and the heritage and history that has informed her sound and style, makes for a compelling package that feels entirely in a world of its own.
