Exciting pop punk band Mean Sea are back with the scathing and impactful ‘Idiota Blanco’
Following the rousing success of their CLOUT premiered comeback single ‘Puke Mouth’, we’ve decided to team up with Mean Sea once again to give you an exclusive first listen to their new single ‘Idiota Blanco’.
The track is further showcase of the effortlessly catchy and impactful nature of their sound, showing off their fun brand of modern pop punk and relentless energy. There is a real sense of venom and bile in the delivery on this track, with themes like capitalism, exploitation and colonisation met with the scathing disgust and criticism that they deserve. ‘Idiota Blanco’ is a really emphatic statement from the outfit, with their brash style and raw magnetism met with a boatload of emotional, driving substance that makes the track feel visceral and necessary in a huge way. More stellar work from a band that have come back stronger and more vital than ever.
“I was inspired by The Beatles “Taxman” to write these verses from the perspective of the people I despise. The refrain is in a language that isn’t my own to acknowledge that I don’t have to deal with a lot of these problems.” Michael Strackbein says of the track.
“This song isn’t about any one person. If you don’t know who Idiota Blanco is, it’s likely they’re you.”
