The track is the latest release from the artist’s upcoming new covers EP
With the upcoming release of her new EP #covers, prodigious alternative pop artist Edie Yvonne has been putting her own distinctive slant on some iconic tracks and making them her own, continuing to establish her immense appeal along the way.
The latest of these releases has come in the form of a reworking of Mazzy Star’s incredible 1993 single ‘Fade Into You’, a track that has a deep resonance with the artist thanks to an experience that she had a 10 years old. Kristin Kontrol invited kids to perform together with female rock legends at the once Bootleg theater at Anna Bulbrook’s Girl School festival, with Edie singing Fade Into You and immediately creating a core memory that made the track her go to cover. This comes across in her performance too, with the young artist taking on the huge track with the kind of composure and grace that many more experienced artists would kill for.
