As we edge closer to the release of upcoming new Social Creatures EP The Ravine, the band have released a fourth single from the release and also its title track, a fun and creative new single that continues to highlight the distinctive charm that the band possess and the boundless amounts of charismatic allure that they carry.

While crafting the new EP, the band have had the luxury of being able to workshop and and re-write tracks while getting to test them on live audiences and take note of what works and what doesn’t. The benefits of this are abundantly clear on ‘The Ravine’, a track that energetically flits between alternative rock and 80s-tinged dance rock, blessed with an abundance of catchy hooks and melodies that are tied together by the band’s quirky and ambitious writing. ‘The Ravine’ refers to a specific place where singer Jono Robertson had many “firsts”, and the sense of excitement and liberation that these feelings had provided him with are wonderfully articulated through the track’s adventurous and fun sound.
