The feeling of meeting somebody and then heading home afterwards with butterflies and a feeling that things have changed irrevocably since your encounter is something that many people can relate to and attach fond memories too, and that is the basis of the energetic new single ‘Since Monday’ from indie rock risers The Avelons.
The track has an anthemic sense of euphoria to it throughout, adorned with soaring soaring and jangly, energetic guitars that capture the rush of feelings and emotions that rush through you at such a time. The intoxicating and fun nature of the sound mirrors the feelings explored, and makes for a really cohesive listening experience that feels vibrant and all-encompassing in its appeal, as close as you can get to replicating the feeling through indie rock. The Avelons have been pulling up trees as of late, and deservedly carving out a place for themselves in the indie rock scene thanks to the powerful nature of their charismatic sound and the thought and heart that they pour into it.
