We had a chat with rising star Bam Rigby following the release of his soaring new single ‘Silhouette’
A distinctive emerging artist who has found a way to channel his influences into a style that feels nostalgic, fresh and entirely his own, Bam Rigby‘s creative take on modern indie pop is packed full of invigorating appeal and the artist’s charming allure, making for a devastating cocktail of substance and style.

There is a really uplifting energy and drive to the track that hammers home on the points that he is making and makes for a truly memorable listen. We love this new release, and decided that it made for the perfect time to have a chat with Bam Rigby to find out a bit more about the artist, his journey so far, and what else he has planned going forward.
Who TF is Bam Rigby?
I’m just a guy bouncing between New York and Tokyo, chasing vintage sounds and honest songwriting and trying to make sense of the world through music. Growing up bouncing between Japan, The US, Canada and Brazil gave me a pretty unique, cross-cultural take on life that I think shapes everything I do. It gives me a massive appreciation for all kinds of music. In a nutshell, Bam Rigby is indie rock/pop artist that sounds like lightning and soda pop ready to take on the world.
How long have you been making music?
Pretty much my whole life! My very first gig was at six years old singing in French at a festival. As I got older, I started making little demos by bouncing audio between old cassette tape decks. I’ve always been inspired by the puzzle of building a song from scratch.
Why do you make music?
It’s the only way I know how to process everything. Growing up on different continents and between different cultures, music was my universal language. I make it to connect with people, to figure out my own head and create something that can last forever. I can’t really imagine doing anything else.
What are your biggest influences?
I’m a massive fan of artists who bring a real sense of theater, warmth, and joy to their sound. I grew up wearing out records by The Beach Boys, Kate Bush, The Who, Duran Duran, and Elvis Presley. I love that classic era where the production felt huge and unapologetically fun. I try to channel that same analog energy and give it a modern spin.
What would you say has been your best moment so far?
Getting my debut album, Sometimes I Forget to Breathe fully wrapped up is definitely at the top of the list. Taking these songs into a studio full of vintage analog gear, tracking them with live instruments, and hearing the final mix was a total “pinch me” moment. It’s an incredible feeling to hear something in your head for so long and finally hear it played back.
How would you describe your sound to somebody unfamiliar with it?
I’d say it’s an alternative, thick, warm, 70s-infused indie pop-rock blend. Imagine driving rhythms, built on real instruments and analog grit.
What’s your dream “I’ve made it” moment?
I don’t know if I have one singular “stadium tour” fantasy, but for me, “making it” is looking out at a live show and seeing a room full of people all singing the same chorus together louder than the PA system and just letting go. If I can create a sweaty, joyful, judgment-free space where people feel a little less alone, I’m happy.
We love your new single ‘Silhouette’, what more can you tell us about it?
Thank you so much! ‘Silhouette’ is a really fun, upbeat push to stop hiding in your own shadow and just own exactly who you are. We recorded it entirely through vintage analog equipment to give it this really warm, thick pulse—rejecting all the digital shortcuts to give it a real, human heartbeat. My mom always used to tell me, “If you’re going to do something, do it the best,” and that was the inspiration behind the chorus.
What else do you have planned for the near future?
Everything right now is gearing up for the release of the album with a string of singles and music videos being queued up for release. Beyond that, I’m putting all my energy into getting the live show ready. I want to bring these songs to life exactly how we recorded them—with a lot of energy, a lot of heart, and hopefully in a city near you reallll soon.
