The track is from their long-awaited new sophomore LP Heavy
With the release of their brand new LP Heavy, UK desert rock outfit The Howlers have delivered on the promise of their recent singles and then some, offering a collection of tracks that delve into the late night moments that occur after dark in atmospheric fashion, giving it a really tension-filled and immersive feel throughout.
A track that encapsulates this feel is their latest single ‘Late Nights’, a track that has this intimate, seductive appeal that a lot of the album is built around, taking a gritty dive into the hazy, crazy experiences that we have when we should be in bed and the ways that we forgo any kind of inhibitions and conventional thinking in these moments. It makes for a double-edged sword of actions and consequences, exploring the way that we get lost in these moments and make decisions with little thought for how they are going to effect the future or the people around us, and it makes for a truly intoxicating and at times resonating listen.
“Like most of the album, ‘Late Nights’ is about experiences that happen after dark.” Frontman Adam says. “The seductive nature of impulsiveness that seems so alluring within the moment, so you grab it with both hands and forget about the consequences, regardless of the collateral damage that it may cause. We have all made bad decisions, but the track was written as a mirror to someone whose addictions hurt the ones they love.”
