Californian talent Cailin Russo shares her brand new single ‘You Touch Me, I Touch You Back’. The intimate pop track is taken from her latest EP The Drama.
No longer working as part of a band, the shift in sound in Russo’s new single is clear from the off. Channelling electro-pop artists such as Robyn or Tove Lo, the singer-songwriter, side-steps the sound of her 2018 album House with a Pool for a high octane, punchy sound that belongs in the club. It’s a stellar turn.
In a recent interview with EUPHORIA magazine Russo described ‘You Touch Me, I Touch You Back’ as “this complete reset of power, and reinforcement. It’s me saying ‘fuck this, this is my goddamn story.’
“I’m a huge fan of the underdog,” she continues. “It’s just the true story of getting back on your feet.”
