Adi-Keshest Cohen strips things back production wise on new material.
It always sweeps us off our feet when the vocals of a singer take the focal point of a song and really make it their own. This is exactly what’s happened on Adi-Keshet Cohen’s ‘Only Birds’.
The second track to come from the upcoming debut album, ‘Only Birds’ is an emotive piece of art from Tel Aviv’s Adi-Keshet Cohen.
Interestingly, the song – as well as, we hear, the whole album – has a production based on a minimalist yet powerful trio of vocals, piano and drums. Choosing to not include bass or drums and keeping the additions to a minimal strings and synth.
Speaking on the track, Adi explains, “I found myself too many times so weak in a relationship, that i got to the extreme point of yearning to hurt him, Yet feeling that i can’t. And even if I try, I’ll miss out everything. It’s all imagination, but writing this song was a journey inside my mind, of accepting my weakness, then finding my strength”.
