It will be the first headline tour for the 21-year-old singer-songwriter.
For those not familiar with Link Lewis, you’re in for a super smooth treat.
The funky indie-RnB track ‘I.N.V.U’ is the perfect introduction to Lewis’ silky smooth vocals. Sat atop a 90’s styled slow-jam ready production, intertwined with alt-pop guitars and sultry mellow bars.
In terms of the lyrics, the track shows envy in a positive form. Lewis goes on to explain that he’s “come to realise that being an artist is more than just releasing good songs in 2020 – social media requires more. Fans want to get to know the person as much as their music, which is completely understandable. It’s made me realise that I’m actually quite a private person and I often worry what people will think of me. I know what it’s like to feel envious of the people that surround you, particularly on social media. We see people delve deep into their personal lives every single day, completely unafraid of who they are and what people think. I’ve had hundreds of times when I’ve gone to post something and immediately deleted it because I was worried I’d look stupid. When I work with Jordan Higo (another Ellemer Records artist) I can’t help but feel envious of his confidence and outlook on life. Someone who isn’t scared to be himself, both privately and publicly, and owns his talent. I admire him a lot for that. I’m going to take a leaf out of his book. You’ll be seeing a lot more of me, whether you like it or not!”
Lewis has become well known for his talent at blemding RnB sounds with elements of hip-hop and modern pop. So much so that he’s almost racked up a million streams. Impressive, right?
