How long have you been making music?
I’ve been singing and performing since I was 3.. but I truly began exploring my sound and writing songs at the age of 13. And haven’t stopped since 😜
Why do you make music?
For me, I’ve always been connected to music since I could remember! It reaches where words can’t and takes you to intangible places. I make music because I love taking people on a journey. Whether it’s joyous, sad, or trippy. To me, music is magic.
What are your biggest influences?
All the singers that have moved me and subconsciously awakened my sound. From Aretha Franklin, Etta James, and Whitney Houston to Foo Fighters, Portishead, and Santana.
What would you say has been your best moment so far?
It’s a tie between my time competing on The Voice UK and working/performing with Brazilian legend, Fagner. Both moments pushed me out of my comfort zone and allowed me to finesse my sound and recognise my own strength as an artist.
How would you describe your sound to somebody unfamiliar with it?
So imagine Lana Del Rey had a baby with Aretha Franklin, now add a dash of Latin Pop and Trip Hop!
What’s your dream “I’ve made it” moment?
Definitely headlining a World Tour! 😉
We love your new single ‘Tired But I Can’t Sleep’, what more can you tell us about it?
Thank you! I wrote the song in 2019 on a rainy day in July… Tired But I Can’t Sleep explores the feeling of being exhausted and unable to catch a break. It’s a tribute to anyone who feels stuck on autopilot, which I found myself in a few times. I had to tell myself WAKE UP! (haha) Time to reset, recuperate, and realign. ❤️
What else do you have planned for the near future?
I’m currently working on the music video for my next single, whilst finishing a song in the making with my amazing team.
I guess you’ve got to follow me on my socials to find out the rest 😉
