Meet Joe & Georgie, your new favourite industrial duo under the moniker 0171. Their new single ‘Automatic’ is coined as “a pensive, surrealist study into nihilism as a means to counter anxiety and unease” and if that doesn’t have you gripped then we’re not sure what will.
Their experimental production of electro-pop, industrial and dark pop is completely enthralling and we are 100% here for it. ‘Automatic’ keeps a steady pace (as you would expect from an automatic) and takes you through a range of feelings whilst the general output stays on one level.
Speaking about their music the duo explain that, “our music can make us feel so powerful, and at other times lost and anxious – so the songs reflect that – a disorientating mix of confidence and sadness”
The track comes straight from their forthcoming (as yet untitled) EP, set for an Autumn release, that will follow the success of their debut EP Red Light.
