Alix explains: “I wrote True + Honest when I was sixteen. I had just gotten out of a ‘situationship’ that ended way too easily for me to trust that the other person really meant anything they said. This is one of my most straightforward songs; the form, the lyrics, I just didn’t overthink anything.”
