The latest release from Artio is ‘Product of My Own Design’, an explosive and cathartic release about being your own master and not letting convention or tradition curb the way that you want to express yourself or live. From its empowering lyrics to the sheer weight and impacful of the vibrant, all-encompassing soundscape, the track showcases a young band with the world at their feet, growing into an increasingly exciting and inevitable presence with every huge release.
“This track is about the harm that bigoted and ignorant people do when they hide behind organised religion to harm marginalised communities and promote violence.” Artio say of the track. “It’s a love letter to my younger self and all kids who grew up like me, who struggled with their self-image for so long due to expectations placed upon them when they were growing up and didn’t have a sense of identity without guilt for most of their lives. It’s about being your own master, your own god, the ruler of your own choices.”
