Boasting a slick sound that forms a bridge between synth-pop sounds of the 80s and now, New Orleans artist Austin West has been gradually carving out a name for himself thanks to his neon-tinged soundscapes and the creative, immersive worlds he creates with them.

The latest release from the artist is ‘Run Home’, a track that the artist wrote about missing his wife that is set to one of his signature, colourful backdrops of lush synths. The track is also the first release from the artist to feature vocals, and they do a really nice job of painting this picture of separation and longing that the fun soundscape can’t really do alone. All in all, this is a great release from an artist who is spreading his wings and trying new things, and it makes for a really interesting addition to his back catalogue.
