The track follows the release of the Nottingham artist’s lauded 2022 EP Daybreak.

With his captivating, unique style and gritty, alternative pop appeal, Drew Thomas is an artist who has spent the last few years developing a reputation as something of an unsung hero in the UK music scene, repeatedly showcasing a distinctive deftness and talent that many could only dream of.

A perfect track to highlight this is the artist’s newest single ‘Ivory White’, a track that builds and drives in devastatingly poignant fashion, as the artist takes some life lessons from a doomed relationship that just wasn’t meant to be. The track feels almost My Chemical Romance-esque with its sheer sense of scope and grandiosity, with a rousing sense of defiance and grit that wouldn’t feel out of place on The Black Parade. ‘Ivory White’ is, for our money, Drew Thomas at his most emphatic and excellent, bringing raw emotion, effortlessly engaging songwriting, and a captivating flair for the dramatic on a track that screams of contemporary appeal and charm.

“Ivory White is about loving someone who can’t love you back. I’d met someone in a bar – we laughed, drank wine and talked all night about life but it was a wrong-place-wrong-time situation and I never saw them again. A few months later, I found out they’d been suffering with their mental health so moved away and Ivory White was about what I would say to them if I could see them again.” Drew says of the excellent track.

“It’s hands down my favourite song I’ve written and it’s taken me years to finally have the guts to release it to the world.”
