Bad Love define their own brand of Sad-Boy Pop on ‘More Than Friends’

Driven by strong guitar, interwoven with synths and drums, it's clear that these guys are on to something and we'll no doubt hear a lot more from them this year.

Get ready, sad-boy pop is even more of a thing now…

Meet Bad Love, an alt-pop outfit from the border of Stoke and Manchester. They’re setting out to combine the cinematic allure of new-romantic icons such as The Cure and Tears For Fears, whilst including the catchy anthemic pop-hooks of artists such as The 1975, LANY and MUNA.

Naturally pairing these together can only result in something truly unique, which is why they’re branding their sound as ‘Sad-Boy Pop’.

‘More Than Friends’, their new effort, is a track that would feel right at home in a teen chick-flick movie. Telling the tale of a love-lorn story of unrequited love. Lyrically reflecting on the rose-tinted past of a relationship that fell apart and the isolation and loneliness.

Driven by strong guitar, interwoven with synths and drums, it’s clear that these guys are on to something and we’ll no doubt hear a lot more from them this year.
