The artist’s engrossing storytelling charm continues to shine on the new single

On the stunning single ‘Talking To Your Sunflowers’, Northern Irish singer-songwriter Bea Stewart continues to showcase the affable charm and allure of her intricate sound, featuring a touching message and all of the charismatic appeal that has made her such a lauded prospect in modern music.

The track tackles the subject of the artist leaving home as a young adult, serving as a wholesome and thoughtful message to her father to explain her decision making and explain that she does miss him and values how close they are. There is a really refreshing feel to this sound and the artist’s immersive lyrics throughout, painting a really all-encompassing and realised picture of her life, and creating a world that is easy for listeners to visualise and understand. There is a really gorgeous tone to this sound throughout, and the artist shines on the single, continuing to demonstrate her effortlessly alluring appeal.

“I moved away from home at an age where I was technically a grown up but still had a lot of growing up to do (and I still do)! I’m very close to my dad and I know that he really misses having his kids around (he even started gardening and was caught more than once talking to the plants). I guess I wrote this song to say that I see that it’s hard for him and that it’s hard for me too. I didn’t just leave home and become a thriving adult and leave my childhood and everyone in it behind. Sometimes I think about what my dad would say if he had a front row seat to my everyday life. Sometimes it’s a reminder to be kind to myself, sometimes it’s a kick up the arse but it’s always helpful and always comforting. I’m still figuring a lot of things out and am very grateful to have my parents cheering me on.”
