Brand new New York outfit Blue Lush have released their debut single ‘Save Me’, and the track highlights an outfit with a sound that feels decidedly cutting edge and modern. Their sound incorporates R&B, jazz, rock and pretty much whatever else you can think of into their lush alt-pop sound, and opens up a plethora of avenues for further exploration and creativity on further releases.
Their initial release is stacked full of emotion as the outfit examine the grieving process and the sad reality of having to let go. Their sound itself though, has an overwhelming sense of power and catharsis within it, packed full of these crashing moments of pent up expression and outward emotion. There is a really enchanting and rousing feel to the sound, one that it feels remarkable easy to feel swept up within and rooting for the outfit as they find their strength and persevere. A really nice introduction to an outfit with something a little bit different to offer.
