The track shows off a really reflective and thoughtful side to the rising UK outfit.
West Yorkshire outfit Boxteles (Box-tell-eez) have been carving out a reputation for themselves over the last few years for their earnest and always engaging brand of upbeat indie rock.
Having already amassed an impressive arsenal of tracks, the most recent addition is new single ‘Hindsight’, a faced paced but bittersweet release about looking back over a relationship kind of reassessing how you feel about things. This makes for a really engaging listen and one that showcases a lot of the charming personality and character of the band rather than just the catchy and energetic nature of their sound. From the second that the track starts it feels like an anthemic and energy-filled riot that is packed full of personality and captivating appeal, and the track delivers that throughout thanks to its lush melodies and easygoing appeal. It is easy to have rose tinted glasses and only see what you want to see when you look back, and the track explores this kind of battle between your heart and your head when looking backwards, and highlights a a really human and thoughtful side to the band.
