Brighton-based artist Chxrlotte continues to establish her endearing and multi-faceted sound on her latest release ‘Hey?’.
The track juxtaposes itself in unerring fashion as Chxrlotte sings about themes such as loneliness and depression in her characteristically nonchalant and carefree fashion. There is a really hopeful and wholesome quality to the track though, especially due to its innocuous and breezy presentation, it is a weird track to get your head around because of the contrasts of what you’re hearing and how it makes you feel, but is a glowing showcase of the depth to Chxrlotte’s sound and the way that it can force you to think and feel and engage with it on a more emotive level.
