The UK outfit continue to shine on their fifth single.

UK indie pop outfit Coral Palms boast a uniquely catchy sound that has earned them fans and plaudits for their creativity and incessantly memorable appeal over the last few years, seeing them build up steam since their 2021 emergence.

The latest addition to this catalogue of sounds is the new single ‘Wildest Fears’. In spite of its name and lyrics surrounding themes of struggles relating to self-image, purpose and identity, the track serves as a breezy, laid-back, reggae-infused anthem, complete with off-beat rhythms and a real sense of sun-drenched charm. This juxtaposition creates a really distinctive atmosphere on the track, with the vibrancy of the sound almost like a mask to disguise some of the darkness that lies within the words. Either way, ‘Wildest Fears’ continues to speak to the creativity and guile of the outfit, forever pushing the boundaries of their indie pop sound and seeing what corners of their sound they can reach, and we’re all for it as long as the tracks continue to sound so sublime.
