The track sees the artist pick up a more uptempo sound with devastating effect.
There is an intangible sense of quality and fun that oozes from latest Dana McCoy release ‘Night After Night’ and makes it feel almost impossible to ignore.
The track feels almost like a challenge to sit still while in its presence. Everything from the assured and commanding vocal performance from the artist to the funky, inescapable grooves that pollute the sound feels measured and cultivated to create a masterfully enjoyable listen. Featuring the artist’s best friends and her mom on backing vocals, the track just has this irrepressible sense of camaraderie and an effortlessly flowing chemistry that makes for a refreshingly earnest and deeply engaging piece of enamoring R&B.
“It can be really beautiful to experience how you naturally get closer to someone. Throughout the pandemic, a lot of our relationships shifted and changed because we couldn’t interact in the same ways anymore. It was really beautiful to see who showed up in my life more and more and almost accidentally became the closest people to me,” McCoy said.
