Bristol indie-folk outfit Ead Wood are an outfit that have been building steam as of late thanks to their thoughtful and engaging sound, and this looks set to culminate in the release of their forthcoming debut album People, Stories, World ETC which will be released this June.

The outfit’s new single ‘Lost & Lonely’ is from pulled from this album, and does a rousing job of showcasing its ethos and sound. The track has a cathartic feel to it, written as the outfit attempted to navigate a newly imposed life of lockdown and furlough. There are impactful moments, there are moments of thoughtful introspection, but above all there is a really engaging and memorable indie-folk track in here that is full of ups and downs and memorable moments.

Singer Ed says about the track:
“Like much of the country I was furloughed and stuck at home. I was having a hard time with my living arrangements and was getting fed up with the shared living experience. Without work to commit to on a daily basis I was feeling pretty useless and was filling my days with long runs and lots of songwriting. Lost & Lonely was one of the most personal songs I’ve written and allowed me space to vent my anxieties and to work out a plan of action in my head. “
