On her thoughtful new single ‘Burn’, rising CLOUT-lauded artist Edie Yvonne continues to showcase her creative and unique approach to her sound and the deftness and heart that goes into everything that she does and releases.

The track, initially written on a kalimba and fleshed out to have more of a dynamic and all-encompassing sound, explores the painful reality of when somebody seems to be ruining their own life, leading to the metaphorical “burns” and leaving you in the wreckage to try to fan the flames and put the pieces back together. There are some more abrasive moments that sporadically light up the track through distorted guitars to give this idea of chaos at times, but the track mostly serves as a melodic and engrossing piece of work that is more centred around the melancholy feelings of having to deal with these issues.
