The track lays bare and explores the artist’s struggles with her mental health, with candid imagery and thoughtful melodies that create a real sense of gravity and stakes. The tracks synths and the eventual hip-hip-tinged drum patterns that join them give the track a cutting edge sense of cool. There are some really slick moments here and the track is beautifully produced, but it is the emotion of the lyrics and the ethereal vocals that really drive ‘diamond like’ and make it the immersive listening experience that it is.
