Following in the wake of recent single ‘Criminal to Love’, Ellen Krauss’ latest outing is a folk-inflected pop smash that carries a catchy melody whilst losing none of her personality.
Underpinned by simple percussion and handclaps, the track is woven with emotive instrumentation and harmonies, deploying strings and skilfully plucked guitar-work to create a sound that is as personable as it is mystical.
“This track came to life when I was playing around on my new electric guitar,” shares Krauss of the track, which showcases her delectable vocal in full force. “I remember I fell in love with the sharp sound of it and at the time I was in that ”Let Me Have It”-state of mind, where you’re just like, okay give it to me… Whether it’s about jealousy, talking shit or false accusations. Things that are just unfair”.
