Following on from her pop-perfect debut album Mint, the singer-songwriter is back at it with yet another bop, ‘Easy’.
Experimenting a little more with the production, ‘Easy’ features on Mint+4, the deluxe edition of Alice’s debut. But despite the experimentation, Merton’s vocals are thankfully still front and centre.
Lyrically, the song explores two sides of Merton’s life that often contradict one another; ‘trying to balance the attention that such success brings with the demands of an otherwise normal life.’
This is a promising step forward for Alice and we can’t wait to hear where she’s to go next heading towards album 2.
