The track is the final release prior to the artist’s debut EP.

Thanks to her distinctive sound and writing, Emei has grown into nothing less than a sensation over the last few years. Tracks like ‘Late To The Party’, ‘Trust Issues’, and ‘Better People to Leave on Read’ have positioned the Chinese-American singer-songwriter as something of a voice for young people growing up and navigating their way through the world, articulating these thoughts and feelings with her signature charismatic charm and effortlessly catchy sound.

The latest addition to the artist’s arsenal is her new single ‘Regrets’, a track that sees the artist’s frustration with herself spilling over, turning a playful track into something more driven by angst and regret. This has all of the hallmarks of what makes the artist feel so special and exciting, her emotive, heart-on-sleeve writing, affable personality, and likable sense of charm provide her sounds with this really distinctive Emei flavour, and ensure that whatever she releases will stick with you for long after your first listen.

Speaking on the track, Emei has said that it “was inspired by one of my night time journal entries consisting of a brain dump of every single stupid regret I’ve had. It starts with a light-hearted sarcastic list and it devolves into all the things that I shouldn’t have done and the things I wish I could change. Though at first a slow ballad, it eventually hits a peak paralleling my frustration with myself. This single is the last single leading up to my debut EP anda glimpse into my hectic, existential, late-night brain.”
