A full on assault of synths and guitars dominate the track, as the outfits characteristically sunny and memorable sound feels fresher and more vibrant than ever. Everything feels stepped up a level while also feeling that much more mature and thoughtful, with Natti Shiner’s vocals and lyrics feeling at their most nuanced and considered.
“‘Won’t Hurt Myself’ reflects on when relationships end and you can’t help but criticise every decision you made,” says Natti.“Did I jump in too fast? Why did I let myself get hurt for so long? Your heart aches so much you can’t feel anything else. You are numb.”
