‘You Are Loved’ is a cathartic an genuinely heartbreaking new release from US indie pop artist Fiona Grey. Tackling the harrowing story of her trans sibling sadly taking their own life early into their transition, Fiona has harnessed this pain and energy into creating a rousing and thoughtful rallying cry, both to the LGTBQIA+ community and anyone going through hardship and struggle.

The end result is a wonderfully memorable and uplifting track that feels like a warm hug. There is an unwavering sense of sadness and tragedy that permeates the sound its message but musically and lyrically the artist does a really nice and reassuring job of providing a heartfelt message for anybody that might need it. A heartwarming, emotionally rich journey that feels as sincere as it does memorab.e.

“I wrote You Are Loved within a few days after my sibling Jayme committed suicide. They were trans, and early in their transition. The song was a huge part of my grieving process. There’s so much left unsaid, especially when someone dies of suicide, being able to have that last conversation helped me process the horrible loss. I didn’t think I’d ever release the song, I figured it would just be for me and my family but after playing it live for the first time I realized that there was a bigger message and that a lot of people needed to be reminded that they are loved.” – Fiona Grey
