Irish born and UK-based Flavus Nova has immediately established her uniquely dark take on modern pop rock on her thoroughly enjoyable debut single ‘Illusion’.

The track immediately provides the artist with an eerie aesthetic thanks to its dark and captivating lyrics and the artist’s brooding, grungy style. There is a rawness to the sound that gives it a real sense of life and excitement, and her unique pop rock sound does a great job of melding some of her influences with a more contemporary, modern flavour. Flavus Nova does a stellar job of showcasing her distinctive sound from the offset on her debut release, and we look forward to hearing what else is yet to come from the artist.

She recalls the writing process of the track and states, “Illusion was written during a time of reflection with the people I held dearly in my life. The song echoes the discovery of toxicity in others and how one must break free from a fabricated illusion.”
