The artist looks to overcome adversity and face up to fears on the enthralling new single.
Meshing the sounds of the 80s and more contemporary modern pop, Katie Wood is an artist who has found a niche for herself within her eclectic and electric style.
Latest single ‘Uh Huh Yeah’ tells the tale of the artists struggles with agoraphobia and the battles that she has faced. The anxiety and fear caused by this is a contrast to the free-flowing and liberated sound that the artist has moulded, there is a feeling coming out of the track of hope, of an optimistic self-acceptance.
Wood confides, “I couldn’t face leaving my flat, let alone go to work or see my friends and I just felt so powerless. So the song is about that feeling and in many ways accepting it as a way to move on through it, I do believe that you have to face your fears to overcome them.”
The track is a fun and memorable track about perseverance and overcoming adversity. It is flamboyant and exciting while emotionally full of depth and life.
