Indie rocker Liza Anne shares her latest grunge-pop single ‘Bummer Days’. The track is taken from her new album Bad Vacation set to drop in July.

Striking a 90s sound between the Breeders and Weezer, ‘Bummer Days’ carries an undeniably slacker sound with thumping drums and lazily catchy guitar riffs. Propelled forth with an undercurrent of fuzz and sickly sweet pop tones, Liza Anne’s affable vocal makes it seem as though she could be the friend you didn’t know you were missing.

“I started this song when I was visiting my parents in 2018,” she says of how the single came to be. “I was reading through old poems and journal entries and circling the drain of my own sorrow stories, which felt like a bit of a wake up call.

“I have all these ideas of what taking care of myself looks like,” she continues. “But I tend to get in my own way. ‘Bummer Days’ is me calling myself out. I am the only person who will take responsibility for my emotional and mental health.”

‘Bummer Days’ is available now with Liza Anne’s new album Bad Vacation set for release on July 24th via Arts & Crafts Records.
