Each of these tracks are personal to the artist at this shines through thanks to the strong, emotive vocal performances that she provides them with. While ‘Riptide’ is a more subdued affair that catalogs some of the 20 year olds struggles with anxiety and depression, ‘Feel The Silence’ takes on a more electronic sound that feels like more of a exploration. The track explores the artist’s tendency to be quite reserved and quiet in his life, and there is a huge sense of catharsis as the sound gives way to its soaring chorus, with these walls seeming to break down as Louis refuses to be drowned out or overwhelmed. There are some really cool moments here, and the track continues to establish and develop the sound of the emerging artist.
