New Zealand dance-pop powerhouse LOVETA has earned a place in our hearts and our playlists thanks to her infectiously catchy sound and style on debut single ‘More Than Fun’, and her new follow up has shown that the artist is still firing on all cylinders.
The second release from the artist is ‘Drive’, a track that continues to spotlight the effortlessly fun and engaging nature of her sound. Blessed with a vivacious and blissed-out atmosphere throughout, the track has a soulful nu-disco feel to it, adding to the aura and hype that has surrounded the artist since her initial release. Complete with her incredible vocals and the sheer fun and carefree nature of her sound, LOVETA continues to stand out as a really exciting talent to look out for.
“The song is about coming out of a period of feeling stuck and chasing what makes you feel happy, alive, and connected,” says LOVETA. “I wrote ‘Drive’ in lockdown last year when I was feeling restricted and confined at home, as well as in my own headspace. Being isolated from friends and loved ones was tough, and I found myself searching for a new perspective on the situation. I was inspired by the feeling of getting away and travelling somewhere new, where all of life’s worries just melt away.”
