Lucia and the Best Boys return with the brightly nostalgic ‘Forever Forget’. The track is pulled from their new EP The State of Things.
Capturing the affable essence of 80s rock and pop, ‘Forever Forget’ is an immediate toe-tapper of a single. Driven by a compulsive bassline, its groove is irresistible. Topped with an ear-worm of a melody and instantly catchy chorus, the track is vocalist and songwriter Lucia Fairfull’s rumination on knowing when to move on.
“‘Forever Forget’ was the second song I wrote on the EP,” shares Fairfull. “I had gone away to write this EP to get everything I had to say out of my head, then to go home and draw a line under the way I was feeling as I realised I was dragging myself into the depths of hell a bit!
“‘Forever Forget’ is about the painful and constant reminder you have of how things used to be, and all the ‘what if’s. It speaks similarly to ‘Let Go’ about how it is okay to leave things behind and move forward.”
‘Forever Forget’ and the new EP The State of Things are both available now via Sweet Jane Recordings.
