Maisy says, “’Sunlight’ is a song I wrote about someone I met who felt like sunshine personified. I wanted to write about the gentle, small things that make love so wonderful. For example, I didn’t drink coffee, but I got a coffee machine so I could make this person coffee in the mornings because I knew they liked it. Something as simple as holding hands in the afternoon became something grand and wondrous, and I think ‘Sunlight’ is the truest love song I have ever written.”
