As far as debut singles go, we can’t think of many that have been such colossal statements of intent as Marney‘s ‘Conversations’. From the fuzzy, cutting edge production of Thomas Moore, to Crystal Douesnard’s powerful, uplifting vocals, the duo look to have tapped into a sound that feels both infectiously poppy and blisteringly raw and edgy.
The duo created the project having met while touring with other bands, and early signs show that their decision to push into this direction and forge their own path is going to lead to a lot of exciting and unique sounds. Marney are certainly an outfit that we suggest you keep an eye out for.
