Returning with the release of their new EP Slip Away, Los Angeles-based artist Mini Trees shares the affably dreamy new single ‘Garden’.
Following in the wake of the recent release of title-track ‘Slip Away’, later outing ‘Garden’ continues to develop their feel-good yet introspective sound. Taking a slightly more understated tone than the previous single, ‘Garden’ sees Lexi Vega’s deft guitar work chime amidst rippling percussion as her soft and soothing vocal delivers a lucid melody.
As ever, there is a strength conveyed in Vega’s lyrical vulnerability, this time around detailing the emotional turmoil that comes with being close with another person. Her frustration is palpable in the buzzing guitar at the close; it’s worth the journey.
