It’s the first single from their forthcoming EP…
Mini Trees‘ new single ‘Slip Away’ is a dreamy introspection on individuality and self loathing. The track is the first to be shared from her as-of-yet untitled EP.
Better known as Lexi Vega, Mini Trees is the catchy musical endeavour by the Los Angeles-based artist. Deftly catching a toe-tapping indie sound, ‘Slip Away’ is imbued with bright guitar work and spritely beats that are at odds with Vega’s musing lyrics on self-hate.
“‘Slip Away’ is an internal dialogue about struggling with self-acceptance,” shares Vega of her new release. “And how, despite my best efforts to fill my life with distractions to avoid facing myself, the inevitable and unsettling feeling of self-loathing always finds its way back to the surface.”
‘Slip Away’ is available now.
