With the release of her upcoming full length LP release Manufactured Dream set for release in 2023, hotly-tipped Canadian artist Nadia Kazmi has released its thoroughly creative title track, the second single from the album.
The track does a great job of showcasing some of the different facets and sides to Nadia’s lauded sound, offsetting its dreamy, almost euphoric choruses with verses that pack more of a funk-laden, slick edge, creating a really interesting juxtaposition that flows in a beguilingly seamless fashion. The titular ‘Manufactured Dream’ is representative of the shallow, social media-driven lives that so many seem to lead in the modern age, creating a world full of narcissism, deception and obsession with material things. The unpredictable nature of the sound and the depth and poise of the thoughtful lyrics makes for a really interesting package, and reaffirms the unique talent that is Nadia Kazmi.
