‘Oh God’, Julia Alfrida’s new track is incredible

‘Oh God’ is the focus track on latest EP ‘Episode23’

Sweden’s Julia Aldrida has just released her debut EP EPISODE23.

Her previous releases including ‘Sober’ and ‘Dark Doom’ were met with good reception and support from popular Spotify playlists such as Sweden’s New Music Friday.

On the EP, there are three other tracks, including the focus track ‘Oh God’. She wrote all five of the tracks when she was 23, hence the name of the collection. One of the focusses of the album address a destructive relationship with her ex-girlfriend. Speaking on the EP Julia explains that “others describe how I’ve been struggling with mental health over the years. I believe growing up as an LGBTQ-person has caused/been a major reason to my mental health struggles.” Julia Alfrida says about the EP.”

The dark trap-pop sounds of ‘Oh God’ specifically reflect on the aforementioned relationship and struggling with self-worth and emotional abuse.
